Terms of service

What the app is

LinkSpot lets you place interactive elements on your product images and shows them on your shop through a Shopify theme app extension. It is a hosted service. We run it, and you use it from your Shopify admin.

Your account

Your access is tied to your Shopify store. Anyone who can open that store's admin can change what the app shows on your shop, so who you give admin access to is your responsibility.

Plans and billing

• Plans are charged through Shopify's billing system and appear on your Shopify invoice. We never take a card number.
• Every paid plan starts with a free trial of seven days. Cancel inside those seven days and you are not charged.
• A monthly plan renews every 30 days. An annual plan renews once a year. Renewal is automatic until you cancel.
• We can change our prices. A change does not touch a running subscription. A new price only applies to you if you approve a new charge in Shopify.
• The Free plan stays free and does not need a trial.

Refunds

We do not give refunds for a charge that has already been made. The seven day trial is there so you can test the app on your own shop before you pay anything.

You can cancel whenever you want. Cancelling stops the next charge. If you think you were charged by mistake, write to heylinkspot@gmail.com and we will look at it.

Plan limits

Each plan sets how many products you can add elements to, and how many elements of each type you can create. The limits for every plan are on the pricing page.

If you move to a smaller plan and you already built more than the new plan allows, nothing is deleted. The app marks the items above the limit and stops showing them on your shop. Move back up and they show again.

How you may use the app

Do not use the app to show content that is illegal where your shop operates, to make a claim about a product that you cannot support, or to mislead a shopper about a price or about what is in stock. Do not try to get around plan limits, and do not resell access to the app.

We can suspend an account that does any of this, and we will tell you why.

Your content

Your products, your images and the elements you build stay yours. We hold what we need to run the app for you, and nothing more. We do not use your content to train anything and we do not show it to anyone else.

Availability

Your elements are served to shoppers by Shopify's own infrastructure, so they keep showing on your shop even if our admin is down for a while.

We do not promise a fixed uptime for the admin at this time. When we plan maintenance that will interrupt it, we announce it in advance where we can.

Cancelling

Remove the app from your Shopify admin whenever you want. That also cancels the subscription. Your elements stop showing once the app is removed. Collages are the exception. Each one is saved as a photo on its product and stays there, so delete your collages in LinkSpot before you remove the app. What happens to your data after that is in the privacy policy.

We can also end this agreement, with notice, if you break these terms.

Liability

The app is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost sales or lost profit.

Changes to these terms

We can change these terms. If a change affects your rights, we announce it by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Using the app after that date means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Any dispute goes to the courts of Romania. This does not remove a consumer protection right that the law of your own country gives you and that cannot be signed away.
